I’ve spoken to a lot of folks lately who have limited their use of Facebook because a parent or coworker has recently joined. Not necessary at all. In this post, I’m going to explain how to limit certain areas of your profile to folks from who you would like to hide things.
First, click “Friends” at the top of your page. On the lefthand side, there will be a spot that says “Create a New List.” Make a list and call it “Limited” or something like that. Add anyone you’d like by clicking their profile pic.
Once you’ve created the list, click on “Settings - Privacy Settings” at the top of your page. Then, click “Profile.” At that point, you’ll be able to choose which parts of your profile you’d like to restrict. Choose “Customize” from each pull-down menu. At the bottom, it will say “Except These People.” Type the name of the list you created. That part of your profile will now be hidden from anyone on that list.
At the top, you can type someone’s name in the box to see how they view your profile.
I hope this helps.
